Policing Priorities for 2009-2010
Humberside Police Authority has announced the policing priorities for Humberside
Police in the coming year.
These local priorities have been set by the Authority following consultation
with both partner organisations and the general public.
In 2009-10 there will be five local priority areas of policing:
- Raising confidence and satisfaction – increasing public confidence in and satisfaction with Humberside Police
- Neighbourhood Priorities – tackling local priorities at neighbourhood level and communicating progress
- Tackling priority crime – including work with partners to reduce and detect crime
- Protecting the public – including work with partners and local communities to protect the public from the threat of terrorism, serious organised criminality and criminal use of the roads
- Resources – ensuring the best use of resources.
These priority areas are in addition to the Home Secretary’s new single confidence
measure for each police force in England and Wales, which has been designed to
significantly improve public confidence in policing.
