David was born in Hedon, Hull in 1949 and has lived in Humberside all his life.

David worked as a financial advisor for 32 years and is a Member, by Diploma, of the Life Insurance Association.

David has served as a Councillor for 22 years and joined the Police Authority as an Elected Member on 5 October 2004. His particular area of interest is performance management.
