Our Questionnaires & Surveys

Mystery Shopper Exercise

In the Autumn of 2007, we conducted a Mystery Shopper exercise which included unannounced visits to your local police station to test the quality of service given in relation to adherence of published opening times, advice, friendliness of staff, knowledge of the neighbourhood and a range of other features connected to standards that we believe the public are entitled to expect. Public Opinion Survey

Every year the Police Authority commissions a market research company to carry out a public opinion survey of policing and community safety across the local Humberside Police area. The results are presented to the Authority and the Force and are made public via the local press. If you would like to see the results of these surveys please click on the link below.

Precept Survey

Humberside Police Authority receives central funding for Humberside Police, however this funding does not cover the full costs of running Humberside Police. Further funding is paid by taxpayers through Council Tax of which Humberside Police Authority takes the Precept. Annually each household in the Humberside Police area receives a leaflet outlining the amount of their Council Tax for the following year and how much of this will go to the Police and Fire Authorities. We have put a short 'value for money' questionnaire on the back of this leaflet for the past two years and intend to continue with this in the future. Please use the links below if you wish to see the results of these surveys.

Local Business Crime Survey

Humberside Police Authority recognises that crime can have a devastating effect on small businesses. In order for us to gain a clearer picture of the extent of this problem in the Humberside area we have produced a questionnaire for business owners to complete. When we have a clearer picture the results will be presented to the Consultation and Partnership Committee of the Police Authority on which the Assistant Chief Constable (Operations) sits representing the force at the highest level. If you would like to download a copy of the questionnaire to complete and send back via the freepost service please access via the link below.
