Criteria for Funding
INFORMATION
Revenue raised by the Police as a result of the sale of untraceable property
is vested in the Police Authority.
The Authority is authorised by law to donate these funds towards charitable purposes.

CRITERIA
The criteria for the acceptance of bids is :-
1. The payment is for a charitable purpose and the applicant is a registered
charity.
2. The project is Humberside based or is a national charity with a project
working in the Humberside Police area.
3. The organisation making the application : -
- Is able to evidence that immediate funding for the project is
required
- Is able to provide the most recently audited accounts
- Is able to provide details of the project and
- Is able to provide information as to how any grant would be
utilised.
4. The objectives of the organisation, or project, link with the work of the
police. For example: -
- The project impacts on community safety or crime reduction,
and/or,
- It encourages contact and partnerships with the local police,
and/or
- It helps victims of crime, and/or
- It includes diversionary activities to steer young people away
from crime and disorder.
5. The benefit to the organisation or project can be measured.
6. The organisation will provide information on how the financial assistance
has been utilised.
