Our Committees
A new Committee Structure was adopted at the Police Authority AGM 19 June 2007. The purpose of this change
was to enhance the Authority's oversight and scutiny role and encourage more dynamic
decision making.
Humberside Police Authority meets quarterly, with an additional meeting in February to approve the Policing
Plan and set the budget for the following year. There are also Standing Committees which
meet on a quarterly basis throughout the year. These are:
The Standards Committee meet twice per year.
All of the above meetings are open to the public to attend, although they may
be excluded for the discussion of confidential items.
In addition to the Standing Committees and Chairman's Strategic Group, Thematic
Panels are held quarterly and are interspersed between their associated Committee
meetings. Thematic Panels aim to provide Members with a detailed understanding
of inputs and outputs including performance enablers and diagnostic performance
indicators.
