Humberside Police Authority
Responsibility for policing is shared between the Home Secretary, the Chief Constable
and the Police Authority. This ensures that the police service delivered to the
people in the Humberside Force area relates local priorities to local and national
targets.
The Police Authority is an independent body with clear statutory duties. Its
key duty is to secure the maintenance of an efficient and effective police force
for the Humberside Police area.
