Clive was born in Dewsbury but lived in Ossett, West Yorkshire for 25 years and
Blackburn, Lancashire for 26 years. He has now lived in Humberside for 10 years.
Clive spent 33 years in Municipal Administration and has a diploma in the subject.
He is a retired Principal Local Government Officer.
Clive has served as a Magistrate from January 1997 to date and joined the Police
Authority as a Magistrate Member on 1 April 2003. As a Member of the Police Authority,
Clive hopes to play a full and active part in ensuring the people of Humberside
receive an efficient and effective police force. He is particularly interested
in neighbourhood policing, call handling/incident response and public consultation
processes. In addition to his Police Authority Committee Membership, Clive is
also a Call Handling Project Board Member and an Incident Handling Development
Team Member.
Clive serves as the Clerk to Gowdall Parish Council and is the Vice Chairman
of the Goole and Howdenshire Bench of Magistrates. In his spare time he enjoys
walking, caravanning and studying the social and economic history of Great Britain.
