Independent Custody Visitor Scheme

Humberside Police Authority's Independent Custody Visiting Scheme's purpose is to make unannounced visits on police custody suites to check on the welfare of those who are being detained. Acceptable conditions for detainees to be held in are outlined in the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (Code C), all custody suites should conform to these guidelines.
